2/2 TSMC has applied for up to 25-hectares in the park’s ‘3rd phase’, more than the 20-hectares for its two CoWoS plants in the Chiayi Science Park, the report says. The NT$200 billion amount is a media estimate based on the cost of a similar investment in Chiayi. STSP officials confirmed TSMC applied for land in the 3rd phase area, but would not discuss its plans.
