Peaceful August Festival Exhibition —

A Radiant Month of Global Celebration

August is a symphony that sings of peace and light — a month that carries both profound emotions and radiant hopes. In the vast river of world history, it gleams with unforgettable memories and timeless symbols. On August 15, 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, bringing an end to the smoke and shadows of the Second World War. In Japan, this day is known as the “End of War Memorial Day,” while in many other countries it is commemorated as a day of victory and peace.

August is not only a time to reflect on history and honor peace, but also a month of joyous national celebrations: Malaysia’s Independence Day (August 31), Switzerland’s National Day (August 1), Singapore’s National Day (August 9), Indonesia’s Independence Day (August 17) … each of these days blooms like a flower of peace, radiating its fragrance across different lands.

It is also a month that calls forth kindness and compassion in the human heart. World Humanitarian Day, on August 19, reminds us once again that love and aid can cross borders, religions, and languages, becoming the warmest force in the world. This month is also graced by international film festivals and World Photography Day, infusing our shared human memory with the power of images and light — making art a bridge that touches and unites the soul.

It is for this reason that I have specially curated this cloud-based international art exhibition dedicated to August. Through the most beautiful language of communication — art — we call on the world to embrace love, compassion, and benevolence, to hold peace as our shared aspiration, and to use culture as our bridge. Art knows no borders. It transcends nations and geography, travels through history and the present, and gathers the hearts of people across the globe.

Even more joyously, the International IMPSART Online Art Platform, which I founded, reaches its 90th issue this August. This is not merely a number — it is the continuation of a steadfast belief: to carry forward the spirit of goodness, beauty, light, and a healthy cultural and artistic life, spreading it to every corner of the world.

In this August — a symbol of peace and unity — we connect artists and audiences worldwide through our platform, composing together a universal hymn of peace that transcends borders. Let the brilliance of art illuminate both our historical reflections and our visions for the future; let the warmth of the human heart turn into the most splendid colors of August, blessing this time when all people hope for joy and happiness, and safeguarding our beautiful, peaceful, harmonious, and loving home.
