Chinese Contemporary Art Master Guo Qian - Building a Cultural Bridge between China and Foreign Countries through Ink and Brush Innovation
Guo Qian, female, born in Dalian in 1953, is a highly influential contemporary Chinese art master and calligrapher, and a world-renowned cultural figure. She graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and studied boneless freehand flowers and birds under Mr. Zhong Zhifu, a former researcher of ancient paintings at the Forbidden City in Beijing. Mr. Zhong was personally taught and guided by renowned Chinese painting masters such as Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, and Zhang Daqian. He not only systematically interpreted the artistic essence of timeless paintings to Guo Qian, but also made her understand the hardships and persistence of artistic pursuit from the creative process of famous artists throughout history, which strengthened her artistic original intention of "opening up unprecedented new paths and depicting a beautiful future world".
