杨明宇，四川省成都市大邑县人，笔名：鳴宇。自幼喜爱书法，坚持以“习书修身、以书为乐”之道，走“传承与创新”之路。把“听万家之言、做喜爱之事、取他人之长、补自己之短”作为人生格言。贫身舞墨数十载，甘为书画传承人。
现在是中国老年书画研究会创作研究员、中国书法家协会会员、中国书画家协会理事、中国艺术人才管理中心副主任。书法作品先后被收录在《中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年》、《中国当代书法名家》、《新中国美术图鉴》、《世界美术家大辞典》、《传承与超越》、《新时代艺术先锋人物》、《名家档案》、《杨明宇作品精选》、《中国艺术家档案》、《建党百年》、《典藏中国》、《共和国记忆》、《当代名家典藏》、《中国当代艺术大家》、《中国书法报》等30余部大型书画出版物中；书画作品登上了数十家网络媒体平台，并被10多个国家和地区的书画爱好者收藏。
