In high school, this university was the pinnacle of my ambitions. I got in, spent four years here, and found it was nothing like I imagined. I left swearing I’d never come back. Yet here I am this Sep, completing my master in the same familiar halls.
Underdrad me missed the chance to go on exchange, so graduate me stubbornly chased a dual-degree program, and promptly regretted choosing it.
But now, I see the truth: if you have the chance to do something, do it. The sting of regret for trying pales in comparison to the ache of wondering what might have been.
And in this reflection, I discovered I still love this place, the one that once carried my wildest dreams.
As an education content creator, I come to understand the real meaning of it: to shape whole, fearless individuals. People who accept regret as part of their life but possess the courage, and raw honesty, to take that first step.
