According to Automotive News, 29% of electric vehicle (EV) owners worldwide indicated they might consider switching back to traditional vehicles. In the U.S., this figure rises to 46% of EV owners who are likely to revert to gas-powered cars. Critics argue that Trump's policies could exacerbate challenges for EV manufacturers. In contrast, Elon Musk has expressed a bold vision for the future, stating that “99% of cars will be electric and autonomous”. He likened manually-driven gasoline vehicles to riding a horse while using a flip phone, noting that while such practices still exist, they are becoming increasingly rare.
