Streamlined Services for Foreign Professionals

Under the new policy, foreign nationals holding certificates listed in Category A will enjoy a range of facilitation measures, including:

1.Multiple-entry visas or work residence permits valid for up to five years;

2.Eligibility for work permits for foreign professionals, with the age limit for Category B foreign professionals extended to 70 years old;

Applicants must comply with Chinese laws, demonstrate good professional ethics, and have at least one year of relevant work experience in Shanghai.

A citywide verification platform will be established to provide unified services for certificate validation. The verification results will serve as the basis for accessing relevant services. Certificate holders who have not yet come to Shanghai for employment may complete verification while abroad.

The city aims to attract and cultivate highly skilled professionals in key industries by incorporating internationally recognized qualifications into the list.
